Changes to Submitted Orders
Please be sure to order what you want, when you submit your order. Changes to orders, once they are submitted, may not be allowed. This is to help prevent mistakes on our end, and to keep your order moving smoothly through production, without delays for back-and-forth communication.
If you have questions about colours, construction, or materials ask those prior to ordering. I am happy to help!
Returns/Refunds
If your collar is not as you had hoped, but IS how you ordered it, we may be able to swap out some components to make it as you imagined, at your expense. Insured shipping will be your responsibility, both directions. Proof of purchase may be required. Please contact for more details, and to see if this is an option for your situation.
Refunds will not be issued for ordering error or for not liking how we construct our collars. Our construction may not be for everyone, and that is okay.
As with shoes, there can be some fit differences with collars. Your measuring accuracy, your dog's shape and coat, and the total width, taper, and stiffness of the leather can cause the collar to fit bigger/smaller than your other collars. We do try to take these factors in to account, but it's not always a perfect science. Because of this, we ask for some grace with how the collar will fit. We guarantee that your collar will fit on one of the three center holes. If it does, and you are unhappy with the fit, we can remake the base, at your shipping and base remake expense.
If your collar is not as you had hoped, due to maker error, this will be corrected at our expense. Please contact us and allow us to make it right - we make mistakes too, and will do everything we can to fix an error. If a new collar can be made as ordered, no refund will be issued.
Cancellations
You ordered a collar (or a bunch of collars) and want to cancel your order. This is a really big pain, and will result in a restocking fee (20%) and a potential ban from further orders. We are not Amazon. It's not as easy as just cancelling your order and putting your stuff back on the shelf for someone else to buy later on. Please consider this, and how important each order is to our little business, when ordering.
guarantee and warranty
Our collars are made from high-quality materials, with great care; however, they are not indestructible. Consider what properties are most important to you when choosing your leather and embellishments. If you have specific needs, let us help you find the best fit.
normal wear and tear
Scratches, tarnish, wear to crystals and crystal finish, indents from the buckle, and changes to the leather from patina or exposure are to be expected. This is the joy of leather: it develops a new beauty from wear and is a reminder of a lifetime of adventure.
If you prefer to have your collar look the same after years of use, leather might not be for you.
Wear from being used on a tie out**, damage from chewing, damage from lack of care, and damage to crystal finish from being used when swimming are not considered normal wear and tear.
**A tie out is anytime the leash is attached to something that isn't a person.
*If your dog is an extreme puller or poses an aggression risk, please consider other restraint methods that use materials with a guaranteed load rating.
We are not responsible for your dog's actions while wearing our collars or using our leashes.
defects and workmanship
If your collar happens to come apart somehow, something breaks, or the leather rips due to defect, we will fix this. Please contact us to discuss what happened. Pictures and proof of purchase may be required.
crystal/stud replacement
While we do not offer crystal colour swap outs, should a crystal or stud pop out from normal use, we will fix this. You will cover the shipping, but the work will be at no charge. The turnaround time for repairs depends on the availability of the repair parts or crystals. We try to keep a healthy stock, but may need to order something special in for you.
